About this notice

This notice describes how Predxy handles information when you browse the service, create an account or use its features. Contact contact@predxy.com with privacy questions or requests.

Information you provide

Account information includes your email address, optional display name, password hash, account status and security settings. Passwords are stored as hashes, not readable passwords. If you use an external sign-in provider, we receive the identifier and profile or verified email information it shares; we do not receive that provider's password. We also process support messages and, when you use them, watchlists, interests, alert preferences, community contributions and newsletter subscriptions.

Security and use of the service

We process session identifiers, sign-in times and counts, the most recent sign-in IP address, browser or device descriptions and operational logs to run and protect the service. We record the versions and languages of legal documents you accept or acknowledge and when you do so. To show which venues are available where you are, we estimate your country from your IP address using a location database kept on our own servers; the address is not sent to another service or stored for this purpose, and you can change the detected country at any time. Forms that send email, such as registration and password reset, include an automatic check that the request comes from a person; it runs in your browser and on our own servers and uses no third-party service. The site reports aggregate page and question visits, country, language and referring host. Infrastructure handling requests may also process IP addresses and technical request information.

Why we use information

We use account and feature information to provide the services you request and manage your account. We use security and limited operational information to prevent abuse, investigate incidents and keep the service reliable. Where applicable, these activities rely on performance of our agreement with you and legitimate interests in operating a secure service. We process information where necessary to meet legal obligations. Optional marketing and preference cookies rely on your choices or consent where required; you can withdraw those choices without closing your account.

Cookies and local preferences

Sign-in, security and consent records use necessary cookies or similar storage. Optional preference storage remembers choices such as language, theme or location as described in the Cookie notice and controls. You can revisit cookie settings. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent reading public legal pages. Cookie choices and newsletter subscriptions are separate from acknowledging this notice.

Who receives information

Hosting, database, infrastructure and email delivery providers process information needed to provide their services to Predxy. External sign-in providers process your sign-in under their own notices. Public contributions may be visible to other users. We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect rights or respond to a valid legal request. Opening an external venue or article sends you to a separate service, whose privacy practices apply there. We do not need your venue password or trading account credentials to show public market information.

International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where applicable data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the transfer must use an appropriate legal mechanism. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your account.

How long information is kept

Account and feature information is kept while needed to provide your account and the features you use. Security logs, backups and acceptance records may be retained for limited operational, dispute-handling or legal needs after account closure. Retention depends on the information and its purpose; it is not automatically indefinite. Contact us to request deletion or details of the retention periods applicable to your information.

Your choices and rights

You can change available account and notification settings, unsubscribe from newsletters and revisit cookie choices. Contact contact@predxy.com to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your information, or to object to or restrict processing where those rights apply. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Depending on your location, you may complain to your local data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully carried out.

Children and updates

Predxy accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or over. Contact us if you believe a child has provided account information. We may update this notice as the product or its processing changes. The publication date and version appear on this page, and signed-in users will receive an in-app notice of a new published version.
