Resolution rules
## **Market Dates** - **Market Period:** From market publication until the deadline of the latest listed outcome, currently January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET (February 1, 2027, 4:59 AM UTC). - **Market Close:** At the deadline of the latest listed outcome, currently January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET (February 1, 2027, 4:59 AM UTC). - **Resolution Time:** Each outcome resolves upon an official announcement, or at its deadline if no qualifying announcement has been made by then. ## **Resolution Criteria** Each outcome in this market corresponds to a deadline date and resolves independently. An outcome will resolve to **“Yes”** if it is officially announced, between market publication and 11:59 PM ET on that outcome’s listed date, that Tesla, Inc. will be, has been, or is being acquired by or merged with SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corp., including any successor or parent entity), or vice versa. Otherwise, that outcome will resolve to **“No”**. - A qualifying announcement resolves to “Yes” every outcome whose deadline falls on or after the date of the announcement, and resolves to “No” every outcome whose deadline has already passed. - Additional outcomes with new deadlines may be added during the market period. Any added outcome follows these same rules. - An official announcement by Tesla or SpaceX within the market period qualifies for a “Yes” resolution, regardless of whether or when the announced acquisition or merger is actually completed. - Announcements of partial sales may qualify, provided the acquiring company obtains a controlling interest in the other company. A “controlling interest” means a change in ownership sufficient to control the company’s strategic decisions (typically more than 50% of equity, or equivalent control through voting and governance rights). - Transactions or investments that do not result in a transfer of controlling interest will not qualify. - Reports, rumors, or statements of intent that are not an official announcement of an agreed acquisition or merger will not qualify. ## **Resolution Source** - Official information from Tesla (e.g., [ir.tesla.com](http://ir.tesla.com) or SEC filings) or SpaceX. - A consensus of credible reporting may also be used for verification purposes. ## **Cancellation Conditions** - Any circumstance makes it impossible to determine the outcome definitively. - The resolution sources are suspended, become unreliable, or fail to provide an outcome. If the market is cancelled, participants can claim their stakes at the then-current market value of their shares, which could result in a profit or a loss depending on the price of those shares at cancellation.
