Resolution rules

This market will settle to Yes if any candidate wins the 2026 midterm election for Governor of Georgia outright in the first round. Outcome sourced from relevant government authorities. A candidate wins outright in the first round if they satisfy all applicable requirements to be declared the winner in the first round under the rules of the relevant jurisdiction. If no candidate satisfies these requirements, this market will settle to No, regardless of whether a second round or runoff is avoided through the withdrawal or disqualification of another candidate or any other circumstance. For full rules, see: https://www.polymarketexchange.com/files/products/PMUS%20-%20FREWCUSG%20-%20(2026.09.22).pdf

Comparable, not identical. The venues specify different expected settlement times and source procedures: one relies on relevant government authorities and applicable legal requirements, while the other uses credible reporting or official state certification and has a March 31, 2027 fallback. These are resolution-mechanics differences, not differences in the underlying event.

  • First Round Outright Winner in the Georgia Governor Election?

The first round of the 2026 midterm Georgia Governor election will be held on November 3, 2026. A candidate may win the election “outright” in the first round by winning more than 50% of the valid votes in the first round. This market will resolve to “Yes” if any candidate wins the 2026 midterm Georgia Governor election outright in the first round. Otherwise, it will resolve to “No”. If the results of the first round of the specified election are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the Georgia Governor election.
