Resolution rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the water level at NOAA CO-OPS station 9410230 (La Jolla, CA) is equal to or greater than the listed value, in feet above Mean Lower Low Water, at any six-minute observation between 12:00 AM PT on October 1, 2026 and 11:59 PM PT on March 31, 2027. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Mean Lower Low Water for this market is the tidal datum published for station 9410230 on the 1983-2001 National Tidal Datum Epoch, equal to 4.37 feet above station datum. A subsequent change to the National Tidal Datum Epoch will not change the values used. Only six-minute water levels that NOAA CO-OPS has marked verified are used. On the resolution source page these are the values in the "Verified (ft)" column; values in the "Preliminary (ft)" and "Predicted (ft)" columns will not be considered for resolution. In the CO-OPS API the equivalent is a Quality field of "v". Values are compared as published, without rounding. CO-OPS verifies each month of data during the following month, so an observation that meets the listed value will not resolve this market until it has been verified. A verified observation is used regardless of any quality-control flag NOAA CO-OPS attaches to it. The value as first published as verified governs. A revision published after that will not be considered for resolution, except where the correction provision below applies. In case of obvious data integrity issues (i.e., erroneous data), the market may remain open until the end of the third calendar day (ET) after such data is first released to allow for corrections; this applies only to clerical or similar errors, not to NOAA CO-OPS differing from other sources. Otherwise, once a verified value has met or exceeded the listed value, this market will resolve to "Yes" regardless of subsequent revisions. This market will resolve to "Yes" upon publication of the first verified observation at or above the listed value. If no such observation is published, this market will resolve to "No" once NOAA CO-OPS has published verified water levels covering the full window. If NOAA CO-OPS has not published verified water levels covering the full window by May 15, 2027, every market will resolve to "No". Only water levels published by station 9410230 are used to resolve this market. Gaps in the station's reporting do not change this, and readings from any other station, gauge, model, or source will not be considered for resolution. A listed value that is not met by the verified six-minute water levels station 9410230 published within the window will resolve to "No". Every market in this event may resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market is the station's water levels page, https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/waterlevels.html?id=9410230&units=standard&timezone=LST/LDT&datum=MLLW&interval=6&action=data, set to six-minute intervals on the MLLW datum, which reports the quality of each value as preliminary or verified. The same values are served by the CO-OPS API at https://api.tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/api/prod/datagetter?product=water_level&station=9410230&datum=MLLW&units=english&time_zone=lst_ldt&format=json with begin_date and end_date appended; that endpoint returns at most 31 days of six-minute data per request, so the window must be read in parts.
