2027 Steel Bridge National Champion: Steel Bridge National Championship Winner: Arkansas State

If Arkansas State wins the Overall Performance title at the 2027 Student Steel Bridge Competition National Finals, then the market resolves to Yes. The Student Steel Bridge Competition challenges college teams to design and fabricate a steel bridge, assemble it under timed conditions, and undergo load testing. The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) organizes the National Finals in collaboration with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). This market concerns the Overall Performance national title. Regional championships, individual category awards, and special awards do not count as winning this title. Under the 2027 rules, the lowest combined construction cost, structural cost, and applicable fines wins overall; aesthetics breaks ties. The official National Finals results determine the winner. Schools must satisfy the competition's eligibility and qualification requirements. Ordinary advancement is through regional results; AISC and ASCE may authorize replacements or additional invitations. Regional guest status alone does not establish National Finals eligibility.
