The Underlying is the seasonally adjusted number of total nonfarm job openings for August 2026, as reported in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) scheduled for release on Sep 29, 2026. Job openings are measured on the last business day of the reference month and are reported by BLS in thousands. For purposes of this market, values expressed in millions will be converted directly from the BLS-reported value in thousands. For example, a reported value of 7,350 thousand is equivalent to 7.350 million.
