If Éric Duhaime is the first person to serve as Premier of Quebec after government formation following the 2026 Quebec general election before Jan 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes. This must be confirmed, verified, or established as factual by at least one Source Agency. News confirmation is a published article, broadcast segment, or official news report by a Source Agency that explicitly states the described event occurred, is true, or has been verified; is based on journalistic investigation, sources, or evidence; and presents factual reporting rather than speculation, rumor, or unverified allegation. The qualifying person is the first person to serve as Premier of Quebec after the 2026 Quebec general election once the post-election government is formed. The person must hold the office with its full powers and the government must command the confidence of the National Assembly. If the government changes, this is the incoming Premier sworn in by the Lieutenant Governor. If the incumbent government is returned, this is the Premier in office when the election result becomes clear. Service solely in a caretaker or acting capacity before that point does NOT qualify. If a person not listed on this event is the first qualifying Premier, every named market resolves NO. If no person has qualified before January 1, 2027, every named market resolves NO.
