Will Trump take another official renaming action? Before Oct 1, 2026

If Donald Trump has taken action by personally signing an executive order, presidential memorandum, proclamation, directive, determination, or finding adopting or directing adoption of a replacement for a preexisting official name, or restoring or directing restoration of a prior official name, for United States use after Issuance and before Oct 1, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes. The qualifying action must be of the specific type designated (executive order, presidential memorandum, proclamation, directive, determination, or finding), be signed by the President personally during the specified time period, and explicitly address the topic in the document's operative provisions, title, or official White House summary. Actions must have legal or policy effect - ceremonial proclamations without policy impact do not qualify unless specifically included. Actions that only incidentally mention the topic, statements without formal action, actions by cabinet members, legislative proposals without executive action, and signing statements do not qualify. The action must be publicly announced or documented by a Source Agency before expiration. A qualifying presidential action must adopt or direct adoption of a replacement for a preexisting official name, or restore or direct restoration of a prior official name, for United States use. Initially naming a previously unnamed subject does not qualify. A reversion or reinstatement of a prior name qualifies. Merely authorizing a secondary, alternate, honorary, or informal title does not qualify unless the action directs replacement of the preexisting official name. A map, database, registry, contract, or other record change by USGS, the U.S. Board on Geographic Names, the Department of the Interior, or another agency does not qualify without the President's qualifying action.
